Stanmore Insurance have a specialist nursery insurance provider brand – dot2dot. The company excels in its field, and is renowned for offering comprehensive and straightforward insurance solutions in the childcare sector. To further fortify their esteemed reputation and stand out as the primary choice, they approached Relative to revamp the dot2dot website.

Their objective was to harmonise the website’s tone, style, and visual appeal with the nursery industry, solidifying dot2dot as a leading authority in their sector. Their collaboration with Relative aimed to create a distinguished brand image – one that effortlessly resonates with their target clientele, leaving a lasting impression of excellence.

The challenge

The dot2dot website, though decent in search engine rankings, lacked the distinctive flair of a market leader. It also underperformed in mobile responsiveness, compromising user experience.

Most crucially, it failed in lead generation, a clear issue evidenced by their Google Analytics traffic data. Enhancements in site responsiveness, particularly for mobile and tablet users, were therefore prioritised.

The overall user flow needed improving, numerous pages led to dead ends and with no encouragement for viewers to find out more or get in touch. The text itself was disjointed and lacked a consistent brand tone of voice.

The solution

Insurance may seem like a serious business, marked by the delivery of precise information and advice. It can, however, often lead to most insurance websites being perceived as boring, dull, and lacking user engagement.

Along with dot2dot we were determined to come up with a site which broke the mould, by speaking to the nursery sector in a way that appealed to them, without compromising on the integrity of information presented.

We had already worked with dot2dot on defining their tone of voice, and this became our guide to how content should be presented.

Our research showed that nursery owners and managers often struggled to find the information and answers that they needed with conventional insurance brokers. That’s why we avoided industry jargon and ‘insurance speak’. By using illustrative design, icons, impactful photography shots and lively design, we gave the site real usability and content which made essential information easily accessible.

The resulting dot2dot website stands out in the marketplace for its brightness and ease of use. The site is easy to navigate and does a great job of generating leads, by inviting visitors to contact dot2dot via various contact forms and prominent CTAs.

The results

The dot2dot user experience is perfect for those in the nursery sector, now designed with an intuitive user experience that efficiently caters to consumers by presenting relevant information at crucial stages and guides them to the right products. This approach has significantly elevated customer inquiries and interactions post-re-launch, reflecting an exceptional performance on multiple fronts.
